A for Awesome! In a place as unique and spectacular as San Ignacio, it is SO easy to fall in love and never want to leave

According to MoneyTalks News, San Ignacio is one of the 12 highest-ranked destinations for retiring overseas in 2017! Why? It is fabulous, tranquil, historical, adventurous, and rich with natural beauty— no two days will be the same.

The article showcased ideal retirement destinations from across the globe based on factors such as cost of living, residency options, entertainment & recreation, crime and safety, climate, real estate affordability, amongst other essential categories. 

Striking destinations such as Abruzzo, Italy; Mazatlán, Mexico; Algarve, Portugal and a few others made the cut. But once again, our small, much less famous town proved it can capture the hearts of those individuals looking for a sense of home. 

If you’re familiar with our hometown, there has been many times when you’ve had to stop and admire. We have it all: luscious greens, historical landmarks, scrumptious food (we bid you farewell, diet!), and most importantly of all… friendly and welcoming people. As locals, we are proud of what we have and want others to cherish it as much as we do because…there is no other like it!
