SIRH Facebook Contest Results

After a month of active competition, our second Facebook contest comes to an end. We are pleased to announce that the winner is Mohanad Al from Fredericton. Mohanad can now look forward to a 4 nights’ stay at our luxury Belize resort where he will also have the chance to explore some of the magnificent Maya ruins during his stay. We would like to take this time to congratulate Mohanad and we are looking forward to having him at the resort hotel.

The contest ran from October 29 to November 28, 2013. The rules were a bit different this time around in that the top 3 entries would be considered for the prize, rather than the one with the most votes winning automatically as in the first contest. Contestants were required to submit a picture of any part of Belize and write a description of why they love that part of Belize in order to participate. They would then have to share their entry with friends and encourage as many people as possible to vote for their photo so that they could make it into the top 3. At the end of the contest, there was a total of 17 entries and 517 votes had been cast, with Luis Chulin, Mohanad Al, and Stephanie Newman being the top 3 contestants who would be considered for the fabulous prize at stake. Their photos and descriptions were then reviewed and the San Ignacio Resort Hotel felt that Mohanad had the best submission of the 3 and was awarded the victory.

We congratulate Mohanad once again on his win and hope he enjoys his prize of a Maya Expedition Package which includes: 4 nights’ accommodation in a Garden Room, roundtrip transfers from/to the Belize International airport, a stop at the Belize Zoo, daily breakfast and dinner for 2, lunch at the Running W Steakhouse for 2, one half day tour to Xunantunich and Cahal Pech Maya Site, one full day tour to Caracol Maya Site with stops at Rio Frio Caves and Rio On Pools, one full day tour to Tikal Maya Site in Guatemala, and a tour of their onsite Green Iguana Conservation Project and Medicinal Jungle Trails.

We thank all the contestants and those who voted for making the contest possible and also encourage all to keep visiting our Facebook page for more news, updates and special offers.
