It’s spring again

Springtime is the time of the year for rebirth, rejuvenation, renewal, resurrection and re-growth.

Keeping in tune with the idea of springtime, San Ignacio Resort Hotel staff has begun the process of incubating iguana eggs. Eddie and Eluterio were able to successfully begin the incubation process on approximately 45 eggs. These eggs will be incubated at the Iguana Conservation Project and hatched.

The iguana hatchlings will then be placed in our Iguana nursery and cared for until they are about two years old.

At that time, they will be strong enough to fend for themselves and will be released back into the wild.
