Belize Bird Watching – Seen from the Resort Grounds

Belize’s subtropical climate and location makes it a haven for many species of birds. Some of them are resident and others are merely passing through all year round to grace us with their presence. If you are a seasoned bird watcher or you simply love gazing out into nature to see what catches your eye, you will find lots to see.

Birding in Belize is offered at the San Ignacio Resort Hotel as a tour which you can book and be guided around to see different species of birds. You can also sit at different locations around the resort and look up into the trees, around the pool and you may be lucky to see a variety of different birds that come to greet our guests and sing a welcome tune!

We have seen the Blue Crowned Motmot, the Golden Fronted Woodpecker and the Black headed Trogon among many others from time to time. Belize Bird Watching can be quite an entertainment and you can look at the following photos to look at some of the birds that have been seen lately.
