| In January we kicked off with our first ever Signature Cook-off competition. This was a great way to test our Kitchen staff’s talent and have a little fun here at the Hotel. There was a lot of excitement and happy tummies! CLICK HERE to see pictures of the event. |

| Gomez. This is a sad memory HOWEVER we thought it deserves to be on this list. Although we lost our star and alpha male at the Green Iguana Conservation Project we couldn’t help but smile at all the memories and lives this little reptile touched. For over 15 years, Gomez interacted with an approximate of 50,000 people and became the favorite green little fella of the Project! He was not only the mascot of the project for over a decade but a part of our family…forever cherished! |

| Belize. You might have seen our Jewel all over the news in 2014! Woohoo! We were listed on 52 Places to Go in 2014 by New York Times, one of the most blissful places in the world by Happy Planet Index, and also featured in Harper’s Bazaar. The Resort chimed in as well by being featured in Fox News and travel website Seven Suitcases. To name a few 😉 |

| Renovations. New year, new attitude.. The amazing changes are almost 100% completed and are coming along BEAUTIFULLY! It would take an entire blog to list all the NEW things that have happened at the Hotel in 2014. We completed our chic new Lobby Bar and did a nice face-lift to our already beautiful Running W Steakhouse & Restaurant—a balcony expansion and a modern inside dining area. We don’t want to give it all away so stop on buy and experience a NEW era in Luxury for yourself. |

| CATM 2014. Out and about, exploring different possibilities. This year San Ignacio Resort Hotel was in Costa Rica at the Centroamerica Travel Market 2014 to showcase what our Belize luxury resort has to offer It was a fantastic experience! |

| New menu. So much NEW we were definitely on a roll in 2014! Besides the renovation changes we also decided to spice it up a bit and revamp our menu with a few new and irresistible recipes. Now, the Running W Steakhouse & Restaurant has an exquisite and assorted menu featuring international and local cuisine with a twist of Belizean flavor. Our Lobby Bar also features refreshing and unique Signature Cocktails. |

| December to remember. What an eventful month (literally)! We had the honor to host numerous luxury Belize events such as Christmas parties and wedding receptions. And to our excitement, all of them looked marvelous! We couldn’t be more proud of our team! |
