Travelers’ Choice – The best of 2012

TripAdvisor recently released its Travelers’ Choice awards for the Top 25 destinations in Central America. Not only did Belize make the list, but San Ignacio and San Pedro ranked in the top ten, placing 5th and 6th respectfully. Further down on the list, Belize City and Placencia placed 12th and 16th respectfully.

Having four spots on a list of best destinations in Central America surely shows that travelers love visiting Belize. Because of the diverse landscape of Belize, it is possible for visitors to go from rural villages to carefree beaches all in one day. 

Though not known for being “touristy”, San Ignacio is becoming a popular destination for visitors all over the world. Adventure-seekers, backpackers on a budget and luxury travel enthusiasts all find what they’re looking for in San Ignacio Belize. 

Ranked number one on Trip Advisor’s best attractions in San Ignacio is the Iguana Conservation Project. Other notable attractions include Cahal Pech Mayan ruin, Belize Botanic Gardens and Barton Creek Cave to name a few.
