Time: 45 minutes
- Mix the sugar, cinnamon stick, spice seeds, lemon peel, orange peel, and water in a sauce pan and boil on low flame until it has reduce to two cups of liquid.
- Core pears and cook them for about 20 minutes in the sugar liquid on low flame
- Add red wine and bring to a boil for about 10 minutes
- Let it cool. Serve at room temperature. Garnish with whipped cream and mint as desired
