Escandar Bedran Family Hotel Scholarship Recipient

35 years ago, one of Belize’s finest hotels came into existence. As a landmark in San Ignacio Town the San Ignacio Resort hotel remains a strong anchor in this community.

To honor this milestone and the founder of the hotel Mr. Escandar Bedran Sr., a series of events and initiatives were launched. One of these includes the Escandar Bedran Family Hotel Scholarship Program. In celebration of our storied past and brilliant future, we are proud to award the first scholarship to Mr. Edmund Junior Bennett.

Edmund Junior Bennett is the fourth of five children of Ms. Lydia Garcia (single parent) who is an employee of the San Ignacio Resort Hotel. Edmund is pursuing tertiary level studies in Tourism at the Sacred Heart Junior College. The staff is excited to be mentors to this promising young man and has pledged to offer their guidance and full support.

With esteemed gratitude towards our employees and their families, this gesture of appreciation will foster higher education and most importantly help to achieve their goals. We wish Edmund success in his studies and his future.
