LatinThis month has been a big one for San Ignacio Resort Hotel as we participated in the well-known and amazing Centroamerica Travel Market (CATM) tradeshow that was held in Costa Rica this October. What an exciting experience it was!
CATM is the largest tradeshow showcasing Central America and aims to promote the tourism industry in different Central American destinations. It also allows sellers in the private sector to connect with buyers interested in knowing more about their country and product.
The Marketing Team, Trinity and Stephanie, along with our amazing Sales Representative, Marlon Naj, represented the luxury Belize resort. The team met with numerous people from all over the world to showcase and talk about San Ignacio Resort Hotel's adventure tours, luxury accommodations and the myriad of personalized services offered at the resort.

The trade-show was composed of all Central American countries, each with their own particular section. TEAM BELIZE (as we all called ourselves during this trip) included about 12 representatives from various inland and island Resorts around the country, as well as our Belize Tourism Board. During the trip, the interaction between all attendees of the show was spectacular, fun and productive.
CATM 2014’s opening event was a great opportunity to socialize and mingle with people from all over the world while delving into the culture of the host country. The event was attended by Honorable Ministers, tourism advocates, sellers and buyers and the closing event gave a sneak peak of Nicaragua—chosen to be the CATM destination for 2015.
