The trail winds under gigantic plants, which create a dense, shady canopy. Many plants have information about their properties posted at their bases. If you have arranged to have one of our guides with you, you will of course benefit enormously from his specialist knowledge of the subject. You will hear more birds than you see, but keep your eyes peeled and you may well be rewarded with tantalizingly brief glimpses of some of the many gorgeous resident birds that frequent this portion of the forest. There are many small mammals frequenting this forest too such as gibnut, agouti, armadillo, and green iguanas, and there will almost certainly be more eyes on you than you know.
